Movie Review: The Wolfman

I like scary movies. I don’t find them too much for me to handle. I like the gory and the grossness of them. When I had seen Wolfman advertised awhile back, I thought it looked good. Well I guess they must have shown all the good parts in the previews. I can’t say I was impressed at all. It took place in the 1800’s. It was a very dark movie by that I mean the lighting). I had the movie figured out from the beginning. I was disappointed that I was able to figure it out that quickly. I expected a plot at least one better than the one they used. As much as I like the gory parts I actually thing they overdid and it was too much, like an overkill (excuse the pun).

I went with a male friend of mine and he kept me entertained. You see he jumped and freaked out through the movie. I don’t think I have ever seen a guy jump like he did in a scary movie. It was funny, here we are in a scary movie, and I am laughing…at him…but I am laughing.

All in all I would give The Wolfman only 1.5 stars. If it happens to come on DirecTV or cable and it is a free movie and there is nothing better to watch, then go ahead, but surely you don’t want to waste your hard earned money on this movie.

  1. Been keeping up on this since it was first announced way back when. Love Del Toro, may be one of the finest method actors of his generation, but the preview left me underwhelmed, waiting for Netflix.
